Managing expectations is an essential aspect of running a business when it comes to both employees and clients. If you mismanage expectations, things can quickly turn south before you know it.

Since you’re the one responsible for establishing and running your business, define your business goals. Your company goals should be clear and easily understandable. The general direction of these goals should be directed towards top-level employees, but they also need to be relatable and relevant to every level of employee in the business.

Goals should change as your business grows and evolves, so be sure to adjust and communicate continually. Structuring different goals for different departments is a great idea, but be sure to have goals for the company.
