How to Create an eCommerce App

Set Up the Products That You Want to Sell in Your Store and Organize Them into Collections

Now, we are moving forward in the right direction. Once you have set your shop store, now it’s time to set the products. To sell your products, you will need to make at least one collection in your Shopify store to list your products.

Once you’ve made at least one collection, you can move on to the next step. Now all you will need to do is to manage your products. But, first, you will need to assign your products to your specified collection so that you control how they should be displayed in your app. So, that you can list them properly and start to sell.

Now, you have paid plan for the Shopify store and also set your products in the collection. But do not forget to make your store public as well. After all this, now you can bring your store into your app.

Bring your Shopify store into your app using the Shopify 2.0 feature

The next thing you will need to do is bring your e-commerce application development store into your app.  You will be able to do it with Shopify 2.0 feature. We shall show you how you can do it.

Step 1: Add the Shopify 2.0 Feature to Your App

First, you will need to activate the feature of 2.0 in of Shopify store. When you complete this process, you can now bring your store into your app. You can do it by just going into the Feature Marketplace and enabling the Shopify 2.0 feature.

Step 2: Grab Your Store Name and Enter It Into the “Store Name” Field

So, now you will need to enter the name of your store in the second phase. For instance, if your store name is “peterparkerindustries.shopify.com.” Then the name of your store will be “peterparkerindustries.” You can paste your name in the “Store Name” option and click done.

Step 3: Generate an Access Token for Your Shopify Store

We are moving forward to complete our store and to bring them to into our app. Now you generate an access token for your store. You will need to go to the “Access Token” option to do it. Do not worry; we shall show you each step.

How To Generate Your Access Token?

To generate the access token for your Shopify store. First, you will need to return to the dashboard area of the store. Next, open the control panel of the Shopify store and click on the “Apps” option left in the side menu. Now you should move and click on the “Manage private apps” link. Then head over to “Create a new private app. You can now give a name to your token and use your email for any feedback.

When you have completed all these steps, you can head down. Go to the bottom of the page and look for “Allow this app to access your storefront data using Storefront API.” You can now click the “Save” option. Next, you will see a pop-up option, and ask you for verification. Finally, you will need to do one thing click “I understand, create the app.”  And That’s it; you are done with the process.

After all this process, you need to go to the bottom. You will witness an option of the storefront access token when you go through all of this procedure. In addition, you will be able to see your products in Shopify 2.0 feature.

Tips On Optimizing Your Shopify Store for Your App

Now we have completed the Shopify store. And assign the products to a specified gallery. Now we shall show you how you can monetize your store.

Pro Tip 1: Use the correct image size

The first thing or tip to remember for optimizing your store is to use the right image size. If you are not using the “Full Width” mood, you can use 750×1043 px size for your product’s image size. But if you are using the Full Width” setting, you should use 1200×675 px for your images.

Pro Tip 2: App Version vs. Mobile Version of Your Store

Your store will look different in your mobile app store and desktop browsers. Keep in mind that your app is not the same as a mobile website. And the app version of your store is optimized for use within your app.

Pro Tip 3: Use Shopify’s Control Panel to Manage Your Products & Collections

Suppose you wish to add more products to your list. And want to change the description of your existing products. So, you can do all of this with your Shopify control panel. In addition, if you make any changes to current developments, those changes will be applied through Shopify 2.0 feature.

Assign Your Shopify 2.0 Feature as Your Home Screen Feature

When you complete with setting your Shopify 2.0 feature. You may think of your store as a home screen. The first you need to follow is to go to the right of the page and click on “Hamburger Menu.” And now you can click the option “Set as Home Plugin.” And that’s how you can add it to your home screen with just two steps.
