Neue “Cannabis-Kommission” soll Rahmenbedingungen (mit-)definieren – Neue BvCW-Arbeitsgruppe arbeitet an regulatorischer Begleitung
Berlin, 24.11.2021 – Die geplante rot-grün-gelbe Bundesregierung möchte die kontrollierte Abgabe von Cannabis als Genussmittel in lizenzierten Geschäften einführen. Der Branchenverband Cannabiswirtschaft e.V. (BvCW) sieht gute Grundlagen für einen künftigen vernünftigen Umgang mit allen Potentialen der Cannabispflanze.
Verbandspräsident Dr. Stefan Meyer macht hierzu deutlich: “Als Cannabiswirtschaft begrüßen wir den Koalitionsvertrag als gute Diskussionsbasis für anstehende Reformen im Cannabisbereich. Viele bisherige Erfahrungen aus anderen Ländern zeigen geeignete Wege. Gerne begleitet die Cannabiswirtschaft alle regulatorischen Fragen, wie z.B. wissenschaftsbasierte Qualitätssicherung, wirkungsvollen Jugend-, Verbraucher- und Gesundheitsschutz, sinnvolle Werbebeschränkungen und eine angemessene Besteuerung”.
Der BvCW hat hierzu eine Querschnittsarbeitsgruppe eingerichtet, die Vorschläge für alle relevanten Fragen fachlich begleiten wird. Legalisierungsfehler anderer Länder sollten in den anstehenden Prozessen möglichst vermieden werden.
Über diese weitreichenden Fragen einer kontrollierten Abgabe von Cannabis als Genußmittel dürfen die notwendigen Reformen im Bereich Medizinalcannabis und Nutzhanf nicht vergessen werden. “Wir schlagen die Einrichtung einer Cannabis-Kommission nach Vorbild der Kohle-Kommission vor, in der Expertinnen und Experten aus gesellschaftlich relevanten Bereichen über die konkrete Ausgestaltung der Cannabisregulierung beraten”, fordert Verbandsgeschäftsführer Jürgen Neumeyer. “Wir freuen uns auf die Zusammenarbeit mit der neuen Regierung”, so Neumeyer weiter.

The cannabis industry welcomes the traffic light coalition agreement as a good starting point New “Cannabis Commission” to (co-)define framework conditions – New BvCW working group works on regulatory support
Berlin, 24.11.2021 – The planned red-green-yellow federal government wants to introduce the controlled supply of cannabis as a stimulant in licensed shops. The industry association Cannabiswirtschaft e.V. (BvCW) sees good foundations for future reasonable handling of all potentials of the cannabis plant.
Association President Dr. Stefan Meyer makes it clear: “Asa cannabis industry, we welcome the coalition agreement as a good basis for discussion for upcoming reforms in the cannabis sector. Many previous experiences from other countries show suitable ways. The cannabis industry is happy to accompany all regulatory issues, such as.B. science-based quality assurance, effective youth, consumer and health protection, sensible advertising restrictions and appropriate taxation”.
To this end, the BvCW has set up a cross-sectional working group that will provide technical support for proposals for all relevant questions. Legalization errors of other countries should be avoided as far as possible in the upcoming processes.
With regard to these far-reaching questions of a controlled supply of cannabis as a stimulant, the necessary reforms in the field of medical cannabis and industrial hemp must not be forgotten. “We propose the establishment of a cannabis commission based on the model of the Coal Commission, in which experts from socially relevant areas discuss the concrete design of cannabis regulation,” demands association managing director Jürgen Neumeyer.” We look forward to working with the new government,” Neumeyer continued.
